The US dollar is the standard currency for world trade and is the currency used by default on NexoPOS. Sometimes the currency you use locally may be different from this international currency. How then to change the currency? this is what we’ll see in this tutorial.
How to change the currency on NexoPOS
In general, it’s the US dollar that is the default currency used on Nexopos. You can decide to use it if it suits you. But in some cases, you may be forced to use a different currency locally. you will proceed in three steps to achieve this: Acess NexoPOS settings, change curreny, and check the changes made.
Access NexoPOS settings
This is the first step. To access the currency change settings, you must enter the “Checkout” sub-menu of the NexoPOS settings menu.
Once on the “Checkout settings”, you have three fields to fill in. Two of them are bounded to the currency configuration and the third at the currency position.
- The price currency symbol used to denote that a number is a monetary value, such as the dollar sign “$“, the Pound sign “£“, and the Euro sign “€“.
- The ISO currency format are three-letter alphabetic codes that represent the various currencies used throughout the world.
- The currency position : Here you can simply define the position between the amount and the currency symbol.
We will now simulate a change of currency. To do this, set the currency symbol to Euro “€”, its ISO currency “EUR” and we will choose to place the symbol after the amount.
It’s also required to confirm your action by clicking to the “Save settings” button at the bottom the “Checkout” page.
To help you fill out these fields quickly, we offer in the following table a non-exhaustive list of symbols and ISO of local currencies as well as those of international currencies.
Check the changes made
To verify the effectiveness of the changes made, what is more representative than see it on the POS screen.
You can also check it on others menus like the reports or the sales.
Changing the currency is practical and helpful feature for those having a different currency than what is used by default (dollar). Remember, in order to change the currency, you have to modify the symbol, the iso format. You can also edit the position of the amount on the “Checkout Settings > Currency”, sub menu of the NexoPOS settings.
